I am so proud to have been asked to show and sell my artwork at Allen+Pepa Architects in Aurora. I will be featuring a collection of new artwork that I have been creating this past year. While this work still features my intimate vision of florals, it also depicts a sense of nostalgia in the decisions we make and the life changes that occur because of them. Each time we make a life choice, we walk forward leaving a small reminder of who we were before we made such decisions. I will also have some of my abstract artwork as well.
My work is being hung at the Allen+Pepa Architects building located at 121 W. Benton Street, Aurora, IL 60506. It will be featured from May 10th – June 14th with an opening reception on Friday, May 10th from 5-9pm. All are invited and I hope you will join me for some wine, cheese, art, and celebrating art.
Rebecca Allen is a fellow resident artist at Water Street Studios. She is also part of Allen+Pepa Architects, which are located in the oldest remaining structure in Kane County called Holbrook Mill. Not only is the building amazing, but the work that Allen+Pepa do is even more impressive. You can check out their portfolio of work HERE.
